What are the strategies, networks, and support needed to advance this work in rural communities? How can we strengthen the infrastructure and bolster the visibility of rural LGBTQ movement builders?

How can we support strategic relationships between direct service, community organizing, research, and policy? What is the link between LGBTQ policy work at the city, county & state levels and the federal policy agenda? What is the future of queer community institutions and culture in a changing political and social landscape? How can funders actively engage in cross-movement alliance building?
Please join Funders for LGBTQ Issues for three days of discussion, strategy, and knowledge sharing at our second national retreat for LGBTQ grantmakers In January 2011.
Registration is open to representatives from any grantmaking entity or philanthropic infrastructure organization (e.g. board members, staff, grant advisory committee members, etc.).

THE LIBERTY HILL FOUNDATION’S QUEER YOUTH FUND IS NOW ACCEPTING LETTERS OF INTENT FOR THE 2010-2011 CYCLE

At least four $100,000 grants will be made to different 501(c)3 organizations (or groups with fiscal sponsors) with specific work that matches the guidelines. The $100,000 grants are payable over three to five years. Eligible organizations must have a total budget for their youth work of $750,000 or less.

The other is an update from the Racial Equity Campaign, and highlights "U.S. Foundation Support for LGBTQ Communities of Color."
