SAGE Wilmington of the Cape Fear Coast
MISSION
The public launch of SAGE Wilmington of the Cape Fear Coast, on September 27, 2013, is a historic celebration of inclusion that joins the growing numbers of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) elders, with service providers and community resources, making our area a more attractive destination for seniors to visit, relocate, and retire to. Current progressive national policy, as evidenced by the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and the Defense of Marriage Act, is crossing political and geographic boundaries, as the wave of change reaches the post-Amendment One landscape of North Carolina.
