MISSION
Outreach United was founded in 2006 by Gary Wood and his husband Bryant Johnson. From its humble beginnings as a once a year “Coming Out Party” held in Gary and Bryant’s home each year, the organization has turned into a noteworthy community ally. Through our efforts we have raised over $350,000 since our inception for worthy LGBT non-profits such as the Montrose Center, MEN, Inc., and the Lesbian Health Initiative, just to name a few. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping bring a better and more positive awareness and understanding to the Houston LGBT community.
