Global Philanthropy Project Breakfast Meeting
Friday, April 1st · 8:30am — 9:30am
This breakfast meeting is a space for domestic US foundations and program officers currently considering or looking for more information about international LGBTQI funding to join in an exploratory discussion about international funding opportunities, restrictions, and other emerging dynamics. This is a time to learn from and with those with international LGBTQI expertise who are present at Funding Forward.
This meeting will also preview a new report: Funders for LGBTQ Issues and Global Philanthropy Project, in consultation with the US State Department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, have partnered to conduct comprehensive research on the state of funding for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) communities worldwide. For the first time, this report will include a robust section on government funding and international aid, in addition to updated reporting on foundation funding. We will share and explore the data on global LGBTI philanthropic efforts in 2013 and 2014, from more than 90 private foundations and 13 donor governments.
We ask interested participants to register in advance of the meeting so that we can share a preliminary survey and build a well-informed discussion to address your key concerns and needs. To pre-register, email GPP Associate Ezra Nepon at [email protected].
