“What’s Your Issue?” Highlights from a National Survey of LGBT and Gender Non-conforming Youth

Come hear researchers discuss What’s Your Issue? This “TED”-style talk will highlight findings from a national survey of LGBT and gender non-conforming youth. This is the largest national survey to include majority participation from LGBT youth of color and the first to be collaboratively designed by youth themselves. Lead researchers for the project will share preliminary findings from the survey and discuss the use and value of participatory research as a tool for organizing and advocacy. The discussion will be led by Maria Elena Torre the founding Director of The Public Science Project and faculty member in Critical Psychology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
