The Frank Harr Foundation

MISSION

The Frank Harr Foundation was established to keep the humanitarian spirit and passion for social justice of its namesake alive in southeastern North Carolina. Frank Harr (1952-2008) proclaimed “we must educate the people” on matters of importance to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) people. Guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, we will provide sensitivity and diversity education to impart a sense of unity, equality, and acceptance, as we encourage all people to reach beyond their comfort levels to bring about needed change. By forming strategic partnerships with government agencies, businesses, other nonprofits, organizations, and individuals, we will promote awareness that inclusive policies will enhance the quality of life of the Cape Fear region.
