The Window of Opportunity (WOO) Community Care Fund provides financial assistance of up to $1,000 to Leeway grant and award recipients experiencing immediate financial need due to the continuation of the pandemic͛s impact on artist lives and livelihoods͘.
In April 2020, Leeway established a COVID-19 Relief Fund with the goal of distributing unrestricted grants to Leeway grant and award recipients experiencing financial hardship as a direct result of the COVID-19 crisis. At the end of 2020, $75,055* has been re-distributed to 112 individual artists.
Thanks to generous support from the Independence Public Media Foundation, the Samuel S. Fels Fund, William Penn Foundation, and Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Leeway is able to continue this stream of funding with applications being accepted until funds are depleted.

Deadlines are accepted on a rolling basis, beginning February 1, 2021 until funds are depleted.
Due to anticipated high demand, funds will be awarded to eligible applicants in the order in which they’re received, twice per month, by a panel of community based artists and cultural producers. The Fund will aim to send grant notifications within two weeks of submission.
