Noemi plays an instrumental role in maintaining and strengthening Funders’ communications infrastructure and developing impactful strategies to advance and amplify the organization’s mission. Before joining Funders for LGBTQ Issues, she worked as an arts educator and teaching artist, and most recently as the Communications and Marketing Associate at MADRE, an organization committed to championing women’s rights globally. With a solid commitment to advocating and supporting gender justice, she aims to challenge existing narratives about oppression, social justice, and ending violence against LGBTQ and BIPOC communities to engage in actionable change.
Noemi is a first-generation college student with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rutgers University. She was born in Aguadilla, PR, raised in Newark, NJ, and now lives in Jersey City, NJ. In her spare time, Noemi is a freelance photographer, an avid gamer, reader, and gardener who enjoys traveling.
