MISSION The Alliance for Equality (formerly the Gay Straight Alliance) is an organization of both queer and straight health professions students in Charleston designed to provide a sense of community, support, and advocacy for lesbians, gays, and bisexuals in any medical profession. Our group works to organize and assist all students in improving their professional education regarding lesbian, gay, and bisexual issues. We also strive to educate policymakers about the medical, social, and personal importance of lesbian, gay, and bisexual issues.
