For over 40 years, Funders for LGBTQ Issues has worked tirelessly to increase funding for LGBTQ communities. When we were founded in 1982, foundation funding for LGBTQ issues totaled less than $250,000. As of 2022, that funding increased to $258.1 million
Still, it isn’t enough; in 2022, for every $100 awarded by U.S. Foundations, only 25 cents specifically supported LGBTQ communities.
With our small but mighty team, we’re working our vision of a world where all queer, trans, and gender non-conforming people are liberated, loved, valued, respected, and thriving. Every dollar you give will help us leverage even more resources for our movement in the years to come.
