Vice President of Research and Communications, Funders for LGBTQ Issues

 

Andrew assumed the role of Acting Vice President of Research and Communications after nearly four years overseeing research efforts at Funders for LGBTQ Issues, a national association of foundations committed to increasing philanthropic support for LGBTQ communities. In his role, he oversees the organization’s messaging and leads efforts to produce timely and compelling research analyzing trends, gaps, and opportunities related to LGBTQ philanthropy. Andrew specializes in using data to articulate how a range of grantmaking priorities impact LGBTQ communities and has presented research to diverse audiences throughout the sector. He is committed to creating compelling and relevant content and working to transform philanthropy to be more accountable, responsive, and impactful. Additionally, Andrew leads the organization’s broader communications and public policy agenda to pursue LGBTQ justice, promote equity, and advance racial, economic, and gender justice in the sector.

Outside of his work at Funders for LGBTQ Issues, Andrew serves on several committees and working groups, including participation in the Board Policy Committee at Nonprofit New York and the Research and Data Sharing Working Group of CHANGE Philanthropy.
