Pronouns: She/Her/Hers April Bethea is the Director of External Affairs at Funders for LGBTQ Issues, where she oversees development and communications for the organization in service of its mission to educate and organize funders, and support power-building to create an abundance of resources for the justice and liberation of all queer communities. April is a proud two-time PhD dropout. Prior to joining Funders for LGBTQ Issues she worked at the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) where she oversaw membership, programming, mentorship, and educational opportunities for IFP’s community of emerging and established filmmakers and industry professionals.
