MISSION SAGE Tampa Bay is a program of Metro LGBT Centers. With active LGBT Community Center locations in St. Petersburg and Tampa, SAGE Tampa Bay celebrates the unique culture and needs of the aging community, working diligently to provide programming for LGBT older adults by offering social, legal, health and wellness programs. MISSION SAGE Tulsa is a program of Oklahomans for Equality (OkEq). OkEq seeks equal rights for LGBT individuals and families through advocacy, education, programs, alliances, and the operation of the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center. Serving LGBT Oklahomans and their allies since 1980, OkEq is home to a diverse, vibrant, and engaged community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons, knowledgeable staff, and dedicated volunteers. MISSION The public launch of SAGE Wilmington of the Cape Fear Coast, on September 27, 2013, is a historic celebration of inclusion that joins the growing numbers of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) elders, with service providers and community resources, making our area a more attractive destination for seniors to visit, relocate, and retire to. Current progressive national policy, as evidenced by the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and the Defense of Marriage Act, is crossing political and geographic boundaries, as the wave of change reaches the post-Amendment One landscape of North Carolina.
