Event Details

Five months ago, the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) issued a call to philanthropy to fund Black-led movement urgently and abundantly. Donors, families, and institutions committed to racial justice showed up in a major way.

Foundations and donors focused on a wide range of social justice issues rallied around M4BL’s call to fund Black-led movement to win. M4BL teamed up with the Arcus Foundation, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund’s SOGIE Program, and Funders for LGBTQ Issues to organize this webinar. Our goals is to invite more LGBTQ funders to join the growing community of funders of Black-led movement, particularly because so many of the leaders and organizations on the frontlines of the Movement for Black Lives come from and represent Black queer and trans communities and are fighting to advance queer and trans liberation

Join us—Thursday, October 22 at 1pm ET/10 am PT—for a conversation with Black queer and trans leaders about how M4BL is building a Black queer feminist future, and how you can support this powerful work.

This conversation is organized by the Donor Organizing Team for M4BL and is co-hosted by Funders for LGBTQ Issues, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund’s SOGIE Program, and the Arcus Foundation.
