MISSION We are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning or allies who are developing LGBTQA resources in Denton, Texas. OUTreach Denton was created out of a need assessed by the members of the Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship who in 2010 recognized that Denton needed a place where LGBTQA youth and adults could gather for mutual support, resources, organizing, advocacy, and fun. The founding of OUTreach Denton was inspired largely by the efforts of the late Bruce Jarstfer whose courage and activism continue to inspire us. Website

MISSION Outreach United was founded in 2006 by Gary Wood and his husband Bryant Johnson. From its humble beginnings as a once a year "Coming Out Party" held in Gary and Bryant's home each year, the organization has turned into a noteworthy community ally. Through our efforts we have raised over $350,000 since our inception for worthy LGBT non-profits such as the Montrose Center, MEN, Inc., and the Lesbian Health Initiative, just to name a few. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping bring a better and more positive awareness and understanding to the Houston LGBT community.

MISSION To create a safe space and provide support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth and their allies. To serve as a vehicle of change in our community by helping LGBTQ youth navigate adolescence and young adulthood in positive ways while educating others regarding the worth, value, and benefits of a diverse population. MISSION The Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival started in 1998; the Fort Lauderdale Gay & Lesbian Film Festival in 2008. Both were brought together under one brand to become The MiFo LGBT Film Festival in 2015, with a seasonal event serving each city. Critically and internationally acclaimed, it serves as a platform for numerous premiers and is the largest LGBT cultural arts event in South Florida. MiFo has been rechristened to the OUTSHINE Film Festival, underscoring its brightness, broad appeal and dynamic multi-cultural location. Website |
