MISSION The mission of Sandhills Pride is to UNITE, CELEBRATE, ENHANCE and SERVE LGBT people, their allies and its organizations by providing social engagement, service, education and leadership in the Sandhills region of North Carolina. Salisbury Pride
MISSION Salisbury Pride, Inc. builds safe inclusive communities in Rowan County and the surrounding areas with an emphasis on acceptance and valuing individuals of all sexual orientations or gender identities by: providing opportunities for positive visibility in and around the community; providing a safe environment that permits the expression of diverse perspectives; and education for the purpose of cultivating harmony within the community. Salem College – Open Up
MISSION Open Up is an LGBTQIA+ organization alliance at Salem College. Its purpose is to educate members of the Salem community on the topic of sexuality and its effects on people in our everyday society. Open Up is a forum for the exchange of ideas, views, perceptions, and opinions. It provides a safe space for students to share these feelings and experiences without fear of harassment or ridicule. SAGE Wilmington of the Cape Fear Coast
MISSION The public launch of SAGE Wilmington of the Cape Fear Coast, on September 27, 2013, is a historic celebration of inclusion that joins the growing numbers of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) elders, with service providers and community resources, making our area a more attractive destination for seniors to visit, relocate, and retire to. Current progressive national policy, as evidenced by the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and the Defense of Marriage Act, is crossing political and geographic boundaries, as the wave of change reaches the post-Amendment One landscape of North Carolina.
