MISSION Our mission focuses on the three core pillars of education, advocacy, and community building. We are actively engaged in supporting student organizations, offering professional development opportunities for campus groups, and advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals from many walks of life. MISSION GLASS (Giving Love, Acceptance, Safety and Support) is a student run organization whose goal is to promote a diverse and accepting campus for all people regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity by educating the UL Lafayette community about LGBTQIA+ issues, addressing all anti-LGBTQIA+ harassment and discrimination, and providing social activities for all UL Lafayette students. MISSION In order to produce positive effects upon multicultural student retention and success, the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs offers a myriad of Cultural Support Services, Diversity Education Initiatives, and Multicultural Programming. MISSION The LGBTQ+ Resource Center at Virginia Tech was opened on August 15, 2016. This is the first time a dedicated center with a full-time staff member is in place at Virginia Tech. Previously, a student-run center was overseen by HokiePRIDE. The current LGBTQ+ Resource Center would not be possible without the advocacy and support of many past and present LGBTQ+ students, faculty, and staff representing HokiePRIDE (formerly LGBTA), the LGBT Staff and Faculty Caucus, previous LGBTQ+ coordinators, and the Ex Lapide Alumni Society.We thank you for your energy and fierce advocacy.
