MISSION Gulf Coast Archive and Museum of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender History, Inc. was created to collect, preserve and provide access to historical items from the GLBT community in the gulf coast area of Texas. The archive shall encourage education of and research by anyone (regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age or religion), interested in learning about any aspects of the GLBT community. MISSION HGLP is a social organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender parents, their partners and kids, as well as parents-to-be. Our hope is that the members of this group will find friends and support as we experience this journey of parenthood. We, as parents, need to assure our children that they are not the only ones with gay parents. Our children can find wonderful friendships within HGLP and know that as they grow up, they have friends to lean on for support, should this be a challenge for them. MISSION The Houston Outdoor Group (HOG) is a social group for members of the GLBTQ community who enjoy the outdoors. Activities are organized by HOG members and are reported in the monthly newsletter and website. Events include camping, hiking, botanical gardens and arboretums, museums, beaches, state parks, but can include any social activity, whether indoors or out. We have a monthly Saturday morning breakfast or brunch at local restaurants and a potluck once a month at a member's home. Website

MISSION Prime Timers is a Worldwide organization promoting social activities for the older gay and bisexual male and those who like them. Our Houston chapter was founded by seven organizers in 1990. Many friendships and long term relationships have developed from our fun and games. Currently, we have over one hundred members ranging in age from mid-twenties to eighties! Website
