MISSION An Inclusive Congregation of Followers of the Teachings of Jesus Christ. Throughout our entire history, inclusion has been, and continues to be, a hallmark and a strength of St. John’s MCC. As a congregation we fully believe and embrace God’s call to diversity. For as God reminds us through the Prophet Isaiah: “Even those I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer. MISSION Founded in 1968, Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) has been at the vanguard of civil and human rights movements by addressing issues of race, gender, sexual orientation, economics, climate change, aging, and global human rights.
