MISSION Dallas Southern Pride (DSP) is official annual celebration for Black Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, and Queer (LGBTQ) individuals to come together and celebrate who and what we are. Beginning in 1997 with a small gathering of Black LGBTQ individuals coming together to party and hang out with one another. As the years continued, the community demanded a more formalized celebratory weekend with a host hotel, organized parties/events, and shows to provide a safe space for this community gathering. MISSION Cicada Collective is a queer and trans people of color centered organization that aims to provide access to reproductive resources and address the immediate needs of our red-state and southern communities. We aim do this by facilitating knowledge shares, collaborating with other organizations, and providing practical abortion support (transportation, lodging, and doula services) in North Texas and elsewhere in the state and region.
