This past year challenged us in unprecedented ways. The COVID-19 pandemic has left more than 300,000 Americans dead, created the most significant economic crisis since the Great Depression, and laid bare the stark inequalities that too often dictate which lives have value and which are deemed disposable. Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) 2020

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance #TDOR, a day to honor the hundreds of transgender people whose lives were lost to anti-transgender violence, learn about the violence affecting the transgender community, and take action in defense of trans life.  Our recent research examining philanthropic support for LGBTQ Black communities highlighted the incredible violence trans people, and Black trans women in particular, continue to face.
